The War For Talent Is Over

Good Morning.

The war for talent is over. Talent won. Last week I attended the National Association of Personnel Services annual conference, a/k/a The Annual Headhunter Convention, and talked to recruiters from all over the country who are struggling to keep up with demand.

I’ve been getting up earlier and earlier myself trying to keep up. Have you ever awakened at 4 a.m. raring to go? It’s too early…but, you’re too awake to go back to sleep. I look at 4:00 in the morning as my sanity cutoff hour. If I get up at 4 a.m., raring to go, I consider myself a highly-driven, successful, goal-oriented, hard-working entrepreneur and one of the leading recruiters in the country. Anything before 4 a.m. and I’m just plain nuts. It’s just too early. Even if I can focus and plan my work for an hour or two, now what? Still too early to call a friend, candidate or client. Too early to check my stocks and no newspaper yet. Now what, back to bed? Hardly. I’ll fall asleep and won’t wake up till 10.

I write to you this month in the wee hours of the morning from our new home in San Francisco. Half a trillion dollars (seems like) has bought us the right to spend another small fortune with an army of workers… Painters, Carpenters, Roofers, Hardwood floor re-finishers, Carpet and Tile layers, etc. etc. etc. It’s no wonder there’s a labor shortage; my wife has hired everyone in town to fix up our new house!! But, I can’t complain; I’m a proud San Francisco homeowner.

I look forward to going to the office now more than ever so send me your business OK? Please! I gotta get outta the house! It seems so strangely calm at my office, in contrast to my house, which is a war zone! Let me work for you! Here’s a hot off the press list of talent for hire. For an immediate full resume you can simply reply with the number(s) of the resumes you are interested in, or email your job description if you don’t see what you need and we’ll send you great resumes ASAP. Wishing you the best this holiday season.

Warm Regards,
Joe Pelayo
